About Sirl’s Automotive Inc.

Sirl’s Automotive Inc. has been located at 7541 York Rd. in Parma, OH for the last 101 years as an auto repair center and tire dealer. Since the beginning, our business has been focused on building strong customer relationships and providing the highest quality of workmanship on each and every automotive repair.

Sirl’s Automotive Inc. was founded as a blacksmith shop in 1914 by Michael Sirl. By the mid-1920s, Michael saw the future and was in the automobile and started to repair them for local farmers. His son, Ralph Sirl, took over the family business in the early 1940s. Ralph built the first stage of the present facility and removed the blacksmith shop in front of the new building in 1951. In 1962, Ralph’s son, Dale, purchased the business from his parents and began to expand to its present 10,000-square foot, complete automotive repair facility.

In the 1970s, Dale saw the need for well-trained employees, but found it very difficult to locate them. He then decided it was best to teach them himself. In 2001, Dale completed a 31-year career as Automotive Service Technology Instructor for Parma City Schools. Dale holds teaching certificates from Kent State University, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and Toyota. More than half the Sirl’s Automotive Inc. staff are past students, and some are from Dale’s first classes. All technicians are ASE-certified and most are Master Technicians and more. Collision repair technicians also are I-CAR certified at gold and platinum levels. Only the best of the best repair and service technicians work on vehicles at Sirl’s Automotive.
